Come closer. Listen: your vulnerability is the heart of your authenticity. There, your outstanding distinction and the motivation for your purpose, your ultimate goal, reveal themselves. It is at the centre of being a leader and an extraordinary individual. It is scientifically proven that sharing personal vulnerability is the key to creating unique and intense connections in relationships, empathy and resilience, in you and those around you. In your company this means strong cohesion, a deep sense of belonging, motivation and performance. It is known as perfect imperfection, the power of vulnerability.
Do you want to experience what it’s like to share it? In “It’s Okay Not to Be Okay” I show and talk about my vulnerability, a mental anxiety disorder, to you and your top management. The speech, selected for the Change Makers Club of YPO, the world’s premier organisation of leaders and CEOs, has inspired individuals and organisations internationally and today can make a difference to you and your company. After my testimony, if you wish, we will identify together concrete actions that stimulate a more open, inclusive work environment where everyone takes care of their mental and emotional well-being, as well as the physical.
The UBS Corporate Health Report estimates that, in 2016, the cost of employee stress in the United States alone was 300 billion dollars and confirms the existence of a correlation between staff well-being and performance and growth. What do you think? Is it time for a change?
